Is there a current online city directory for Glasgow? Like a phone book where you can type a name and get a list of phone numbers and addresses?

Sadly I do not think you will find any type of business directories like those of Victorian/Edwardian type these days
The closest you might get woud be either a Thompson Local or Yellow Pages.

Thanks! I wasn't sure because in the US we have White Pages online. I am still learning all the Scottish stuff. :)

You will find they are pay to view, mkcook, such as here www.192.com

One little tip when using the 192.com website.
If you search for a name listed in the electoral rolls actually using the 192.com website normally all you will get is the name without any indication of the area unless you are prepared to pay a sub.
However I have found if you search for the name using Google you will get the name of the town and county included. You will still need to pay the sub to see all of the entry but it still helps to narrow down the choices.
I put the name in Google search with quotation marks then add 192 eg "Frederick E Bloggs" 192 ( don't put in a middle name only an initial if known). On most occasions any results will be with in the first few links
