FYI: I also posted this thread in the Aryshire posts as well.
Hello, I am hoping to find some information on my family. From what I have read so far in these threads, I have found the right place It seems quite a few people doing research on this family hit a road block when it came to John Sellers. No one has been able to get past these two people.
Here is the information I do have:
John Sellers (Sellars) b. abt 1790 Maybole, Ayrshire
married to Mary McKay (Mackey) b. abt 1788 Craigie, Ayrshire
They had a son named Henry Monteith Sellers b. Nov 22 1819 in Carluke, Lanarkshire.
Thank you kindly for any help you are able to give.

I do not have information, but am looking for information regarding a John Sellers who was born around 1718, possibly in Derbyshire, and migrated to America afterwards.

Hi The Bev,
Welcome to Rootschat,
There is a John Seller listed on Familysearch born 26 Dec 1791 at Maybole to a James Seller and a Jane Dunlop.

Perhaps he is worth looking at?
Looby :)

Sorry can't help - I'm stuck in Lincolnshire with a William (b. abt. 1725)
which I'm not 100% sure about and I've got multiple and similar suspected
branches but too many Williams & Johns to be certain. ???
