Has anybody got access to Ipswich St Peter and Bentley parish records in the 1700's. I'm trying to trace the Everson family. Elizabeth Rout Everson married William Horrex in 1799 in Stowmarket. A link has hinted that her father Robert Everson may have been born in Bentley and married Elizabeth Rout in 1776 in Ipswich St Margaret. According to the information i have Robert is listed from St Peter's parish and possibly the children are baptised there.
I can find no record of Elizabeth Rout Everson's baptism
Any help would be really appreciated (as I also can't find trace of William Horrex!) - a total brick wall

Will PM details of a Horrex researcher - her research is mainly based in the village of Felsham, but that is not too far away from Stowmarket.
She may have come across your William?

I looked at Bentley parish register but could not see a baptism for Robert ~1750ish.
There were no Everson baptisms at Ipswich St Margarets that I could see, but did find one or two at St Peters.
Thomas s/o Robert Evison and Elizabeth his wife baptised May 3rd 1778
Also: William baptised November 28th 1779
Also: Michael December 29th 1780
I couldn't see a baptism for Elizabeth Rout Everson but I did have trouble reading the register (even with my new specs ;D)

To save further confusion please see the following thread also on this family.

(I spent time at the RO looking up Everson baptisms that I can now see have already been provided previously by B Steve on 18th March on the Suffolk board)

Calvin, if you are still around on here, our trees may link up a little, as Robert Everson is the furthest back my tree goes, married Ann Tricker and their 4th (maybe 5th) child was Elizabeth, born September 1957.
Notes I have from my Uncle who kept Family Tree records is that all of Robert and Ann's children were "baptised, married or buried in Bentley".

But, I have Elizabeth marrying a John Halls in 1780. Be good to compare notes.
