Title: Kenny marriage in Ormskirk
Post by: Rosie2012 on Monday 21 May 12 10:56 BST (UK)
I would be grateful for any help in looking up the marriage of Richard Kenny and Bridget Parthin (? Partin, ? Partlin) in Ormskirk in 1854.

Many thanks

Hi

Richard Kenny married Bridget Parthan in 1854 at Ormskirk Register Office or Registrar attended.
This means that he could have been married in a non Church of England Church.

Thank you Heather,

I have discovered that they were married in a Catholic Church - possibly St Anne.  If anyone would be kind enough to look up the details in the church registers I would be very grateful.

Hi Rosie,

My gg grandfather, James KENNA/KENNY [b c1830 Ireland d 1879 Birkenhead], married Margaret GRADY/GREADY [b c1840 d 1908],  at St Anne's Ormskirk on 6 November 1858.
James was the son of Patrick KENNA.

James and Margaret KENNA had seven children-

Julia KENNA b 1859 Ormsirk
Margaret Jane KENNA b 1864 Tranmere m William WOODS 1882
Mary Ann KENNA b 1866 Birkenhead
Ellen KENNA b 1868
Thomas KENNA b 1872 Birkenhead
James KENNA b 1875 Birkenhead
Cecelia KENNA b 1878 d 1887 Birkenhead

I am wondering if Richard KENNY was James' brother.
Bridget KENNA was a witness at James' marriage in 1858.

Do you know the name of Richard's father?
It would be recorded on his marriage certificate?

Sincerely,
Leonie
