I am looking for the grave details for my grandparents

Michael Wynne died Dublin 1920 and his wife
Bridget Wynne died Dublin 1925

Hiya Sorrento,

I have three questions .....

Did you contact Glasnevin and was it a good result? If you have had no success then why did/do you think Michael and Bridget may have been buried at Glasnevin and finally would you have the exact dates of death?

Best Wishes, Christopher

I am looking for the grave details of

Philip McGuigan b 1845c in Cavan but was buried in Glasnevin Cemetary in 1899.  I dont know if anyone is able to help me in any way re looking up info but any help would be appreciated.

Philip is supposed to be the brother of  Owen McGuigan but although there appears to be circumstantial info that connects them......neither me or my cousin can find any proof as his brother Owen died in Glasgow.  We dont have bc for either of them.

Many thanks!!

Civil registration of births began in 1864 so there will be no birth certificate for Philip McGuigan (or probably his brother(?) Owen). If Owen died in Scotland his death certificate should, I think, list the names of his parents- check Scotland's People for details on death certificates and you can order his death certificate there. If Philip married in Ireland his father's name should appear on his marriage certificate.

Hello Moira,

The General Register Office, Government Offices, Convent Road, Roscommon should have BMD certs for someone born in Co Cavan.  Click here  (http://www.groireland.ie/about_us.htm) for more details.
