Title: Robert Buchanan 1805 in Raloo Parish

Robert Buchanan was born in 1805 in Raloo Parish in Co Antrim. He married Ellen Drummond (b.1813) in abt 1830. They owned 3 farms in the area and had 7 children. I have most of his descendents and most of Ellen’s family. I also have a copy of Robert’s will. However, I cannot seem to find anything about his parents or siblings. I’ve searched every online source I could find over the past few years, but without any luck. I thought I’d post here and see if any of you may be able to help me.

PS: I live in western PA in the US and would be glad to help with any info in my area.

I found a headstone inscription from Antrim which mentions an Ellen Buchanan, died 1892 aged 48, but the dates dont match with yours,

Ellen (Robert's wife) died in December 1891 at age 80. They had a daughter Ellen, but she lived till 1918. I think this must be Ellen, but the dates and age is incorrect.

If you are still here and looking there is this book it wont give you much but I managed to access the first pages and it gave me Robert's father and brothers and a little overview

I could look inside the book and choose first pages

I am not related although I do have family from Raloo, I do have a drummond link and have looked at your Ellen Drummond in the past and have not been able to connect

Sansue, is Robert any relation to Hugh Buchanan whose son, James, married into my McCauley family?  At least two members of Hugh's family emigrated to Livingston County, New York.
