Hi,
I'm trying to find the maiden name for Harriet who married George Semmons in Leiston 1849.
Many thanks
Wendy

How many Harriet. Are there in the freebmd index for the marriage?
What are their surnames?

Hi Wendy,
This could be a possibility.
A marriage in Blything (which was the registration district of Leiston) - Sept qtr 1849 between George Simmons and Harriet Ling. Vol 13 page 612.

Harriot LING Christened 05 March 1825, Leiston, Suffolk
Parents JOHN/HARRIOT
(Familysearch.Org)
Unfortunately Harriett is not with Parents in 1841 Census. She seems to be a Servant elsewhere.
1851 Census John/Harriett are born c 1799. John in Yarmouth, Norfolk and Harriett in Leiston, Suffolk.
Children at home are;
Elina 1834
Louisa 1838, both born Yoxford
John is a Blacksmith
1841 in Yoxford we have;
John Ling, 30
Harriot Ling, 30
Emily Ling, 9
Eleanor Ling, 7
Lucy Ling, 3
HO107/1017/12/Yoxford
You really need the M/C to confirm Harriets, Father and his Occp.
(That is if no one can help)
