Post by: tjcook9476 on Wednesday 16 May 12 21:40 BST (UK)
hi

i am looking for information about my grandad Charles william james woods born 1923, i am told he was a seaforth highlander no: 1805464 south east asia command. This is all i know and i would like to find out where he was posted, if he had medals as much info as possible.

I have attached a photo if anyone can tell anything from it i would appreciate any information.

Thank You

hi tina
you can get your grandads service record by sending off for it go to www.veterans-uk.info/service_records/service_records.html from there you can download the necessary forms the ey will also need a death cert and it will cost you £30 it does take several months to come through but should be worth the wait , if by chance either your grandad or grandmother is still alive either of them can get the record free of charge .
