I'm looking for a family I believe may be related to my own branch of the Stewarts. They are David and Elizabeth [Sinclair] Stewart residing in the village of Thornhill parish of Kincardine Perthshire who were married in Dunblane 1879.
I have no idea of the ages of either of the couple but they had children (that I know of) as follows:
John 1879 (d 1881), Mary 1886, David 1888, Charles [Sinclair] Stewart 1896 (d 1915 WW1)
Any census data on this family would be gratefully received, thank you. :)
added: David Stewart may have been born a son of John S and Mary Woodrow/Woodruff/Stewart in 1854 so possibly would have been 27 in 1881.

Looks like them in Stirling in 1881

Thanks for that ev, looks like them in that census and good find for the death of baby John. Were they still in Dunipace in 1891? I'm trying to trace them up to 1901 to see if the families match.
Obviously from the MI I have a copy of David's mother considered them "of Thornhill" naming several of their children ;D or maybe they went back there later.
Good to have another Sinclair to trace her family though, so thanks very much for that.

Oh I've just realised Elizabeth and Mary Ann must have been twins if they are both 29. As if this family didn't have enough twins!! :D
Nope! Elizabeth was telling fibs she was christened Feb 1849! :P
-
Sorry , my error , Mary Ann is 28 on the transcription and unmarried

If you would be so kind as to look again, are they still in Thornhill in 1901 Monica?

Hi, have you seen Ken Doig tree and Ryk Brown's (of the Stewarts of Balquhidder research group)? They have both documented this family
-
Yes I've corresponded with both Ken and Ryk for many years.
