Researching for a project on Davie Glen from Tealing would welcome any information on Davie or his family. The family moved from the Marykirk area to Westhall Terrace just north of Dundee keen to find out when.

Hi ,
From your other post I can't see an obvious link to my Glen's -

Thanks for the information.
I gained my limited knowledge of Davies family from Ancestory.co.uk which was uploaded by a Janice Brown from Victoria BC.
I know that one of Davies aunts married a Canadian and I think the family moved to Canada, this could be her connection.
Davies other last known relative still lives locally whom I have been in contact with.

Davie Glen got a mention on Cameron MacNeish's TV prog tonight, "The Road Less Travelled". Davie was a bit of a stone mason & built the west gable wall at Ryvoan Bothy assisted by Nancy Smith who kept the wee bunkhouse at Fersit. Laying a particularly heavy stone on Nancy's mortar he discovered that his beard was trapped beneath. With much hilarity the beard was tied up thereafter. ;D
Skoosh.

Thanks for sharing! Was also watching the TV and was chuffed to see him get a mention. My auntie Mina at The Murroes donated his memorabilia to the mountain heritage collection and the Internet gives him plenty of mentions 👍

Hi I think I’m related to the 1909 Davie Glen through James Glen, 1767, who is my 6th GGF but I can’t find the direct connection between James and Davie through ancestry.com where I have my tree. As you know every generations about 10 kids with Si,I’ll names so it’s not easy to figure out.
