hello everyone,
Iam trying to find out anymore information about this family.
John TODD born 1875 scotland, died 1937 australia.
his wife,
Esther COLLIGAN born 1881 scotland, died 1978 australia.
They married in scotland, 1900.
They came to Australia 1928, with their 8 children.
The children I have so far,
Annie Hodge TODD born 1901 scotland,
Catherine TODD born 1903 '' '' .
Amelia Smith Campbell TODD born 1910 '' ''
Thomas TODD born 1916 '' ''
John TODD born 1918 " ''
I am trying to find out who the other children were and whereabouts they lived and died in Australia.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Presbyterian 6E 0000713 TODD THOMAS - Don't know who this is, but too close to ignore. Their son died 24 May 1940, aged 24
The headstone only has the details of the two males.

Ros, can you find funeral notices for them?
I can't find Catherine's resting place. She should be at either Field of Mars, or Rookwood. Unless she was cremated.

Yes Heather a death playing soccer is really tragic.
And did you read where the St John's ambulance man put his coat over Thomas while he was laying on the ground and someone stole the coat! How low can you get ?

Well this to use "an Australiana expression" is a "Turn up for the books"
I met the Ladies you have on here at Tea Gardens via the Fisherman who had the shack at Tamboi.
He introduced me at Tea Gardens and told them my name, they were surprised and wanted to know my Heritage. We had a little talk about the area and about the fishing shack a friend and myself were renovating near Tamboi, the ladies knew the original fisherman who had built it.
They were great and lovely well liked ladies of the area.

I can't see a death for Margaret - hopefully she is still alive. Did you find her husband's burial? Perhaps there are others buried with him?

Hmmm here we have William Ernest Howes (2/11/1921-1/1/2006) whose next of kin was Albert Amos Howes so possibly a brother to Margaret's husband. William was cremated at Northern Suburbs Crematorium.

Albert died earlier (2002) so should also be on this list or perhaps only those who were submitted ..? adding or only the 230 battalion
But didn't we think that Albert's father (with same name) was killed in action in 1916?
