Where would someone born in Brawdy in the1840s be most likely to have their birth registered,would it be Haverfordwest.

Correct!

From 1837 right through to 1974 it was in the Haverdfordwest RD.

I usually look at GenUKI (.org.uk) for help like this!

They havs a link to a PDF file that can be downloaded, that lists all parishes and which Registration Districts they were in:
