Can't help with John but there is a headstone in Hamilton Old Parish churchyard marked as the intended burying place for Thomas Barr and Jannet Golder and their children dated 1795
-
Also one in Hamilton churchyard for Basil Golder & his wife Marion dated 1769 and another for James Golder, shoemaker (no date).
I'm sure someone else on the List is researching this name in Hamilton.

I have details of John & Margaret's family and ancestry.
You can email me at * for details.
Cheers,
Bernard Golder
