Edward DARK  1885-?  have tracked him thru to 1901,living at 73 Meddon St, Bideford,have his service records which put him at that address in 1914-18,but cannot find in 1911 census,but is showing on the summary for 1911.Does anybody  have access to local records,that can confirm this,or suggest a possible way to access this info.

Which 1911 census version are you looking at?

He's definitely here on the Find My Past 1911 census at the same address. Licence doesn't allow me to give you the details but the reference is:-
