hi

please has any access to birth records in newport , i am looking for details of a ellen connor born april quarter 1915 , i found her birth on another site but no mothers maiden name mentioned

There are only 3 1915 birth refs for Ellen Connor. None in Wales. Rochdale Q2 1915 8e 85 mother Roach. West Derby Q2 1915 8b 764 mother Connor. and Hull Q2 1915 9d 531 mother Thompson. Hope that helps.

the one i found on is not on free bmd but on the site that has the census etc it has ellen connor  born newport april quarter 1915  vol 26 page 107  no mums maiden name mentioned

on bmd  eleanor m connor  mother needs born  june 1915 pontypridd  11a 1030 all the best haydon  what census did you find for 1915  did not know there was a census out that date

The birth registration for Eleanor Connor (not Ellen Connor as in your original post) is on FreeBMD website (I posted link earlier but here it is again- http://www.freebmd.org.uk/). To see all the details you will need to order the certificate.

Suggest you post link to site where info obtained from. Volume references for 1915 usually number and a letter not just a number.

I can see the birth of Ellen Connor in 1915 (Apr quarter)

Newport volume 26 page 107

As you say, there doesn't seem to be mother's maiden name listed.

You can buy the birth certificate from GRO or local register office.

Modified - I don't think that it's correctly transcribed, because Newport at that time would be volume 11a. The correct registration should be 1839 (Dec quarter), where you can find Ellen Connor.
