Title: finding birth records for Guernsey
Post by: cat1981 on Friday 04 May 12 09:42 BST (UK)
Could someone tell me that if I came over to Guernsey would I be able to find out information of my family?  Thinking of going over but there is no point if I can't get to get any information!

Have a look at the Priaulx Library website, that should tell you all you need to know. There is a section about civil records and one about parish records.

We went over to the Priaulx library a couple of years ago and the ladies there were very helpful to us.  I emailed them in advance and they were ready and waiting for us with the microfilms and helped to us to find what we were looking for - send them an email and tell them who you want to research and they will be able to  advise you further as to whether they recognise the name, etc.

Kind regards.

Gemma
