Title: 1911 Census
Post by: VICTORIA on Thursday 03 May 12 10:34 BST (UK)
I am at present using 14 day free trial Ancestry. I have tried to find my ancestors ( one family ) my grandparents and children  in Liverpool but they are not mentioned. My grandmother at that time was pregnant with my father who was born 05/10/1911. Census was taken April 1911.
My father told me he was born in the workhouse could the family have been living in the workhouse I wonder. I know that there was provisions for women to have their children in the workhouse but where was her husband she had 3 other children cant find any of them. Would the 1911 census have a record of the workhouse in Liverpool I believe it was in Walton Hospital.

I don't think Ancestry has imdexed the whole census yet.

Try this website to see if they appear http://www.1911census.co.uk/

Are you sure they aren't mentioned or have their names etc. been simply mis-transcribed? There are a couple of old threads concerning some of the 1911 transcription horrors people have found.
