I have found out that my great great grandma died on the 10 may 1905 in prees, where would she have been buried or how can I find out who she was buried with etc
( A distant cousin of mine has a death cert for this and it is Martha Chidlow who registered her death on the certificate)
Her name is Ann Chidlow.
Her husband Joseph I think died in 1902 in Atcham Shropshire, it the only death I could find for his age
can anyone please check this out for me please, ( where is Atcham in Shropshire = his last address in 1901 census was - Wem Lane Press Green Shropshire)

Hi,
There is a church in Prees, St Chad's; info here:-
http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-260517-church-of-st-chad-prees
Atcham is a small village about 5 miles SE of Shrewsbury, but the name Atcham was also a registration district covering part of the counties of Montgomeryshire and Shropshire.
Details here:- http://www.ukbmd.org.uk/genuki/reg/districts/atcham.html
So Joseph may have died in any of the parishes listed.
Regards,
Maurice

Hi Andrea
I wonder if they have any cemetery records to see if ann is burried there- how would I find this out.
Since Prees is in Shropshire, not Staffordshire :), the records will be at Shropshire Archives, Shrewsbury; and they have the burial records for St Chad's Prees from 1756 to 1922.
Find Shropshire Archives here:- http://www.shropshire.gov.uk/archives.nsf
or contact them on archives@shropshire.gov.uk or tel: 01743 255350
I have found that they will usually do a quick look-up for you.
Regards,
Maurice
