Title: Quiqley/Docherty Ballyargus 1850
Post by: tracey pat on Sunday 21 May 06 21:34 BST (UK)
can any one help please.

I am searching for a marriage for Mary Quigley to a Patrick docherty (Gt Gt Grandfather) he had a son Patrick docherty b abt 1849 - married an Elizabeth Kerr in 1872 Scotland -

I have rec a lead that there is a Bernard DOherty Possible spelling change to parents with the same name quigley and Docherty in 1865 and a Sarah in 1854 I think that Patrick (jun) went to Glasgow around 1871/2 although he is not any census until 1881

I am not sure what part of Ireland Ballyargus is and I am not sure that this is where they where married but as I have no other information I can only try.

Many thanks to anyone that would be kind enough to help

Tracey

Ballyargus, Redcastle is in Inishowen about 6 miles on Derry side of Moville. At the time you mention it would have been part of Moville Upper Parish. Hope this helps.
