hi
we are on holiday in prestatyn in a couple of weeks and while there will add a little family history to the hol, i am looking for the records of st asaph convent holywell for around 1880 , are these held at flintshire record office?
(pantasaph)
for those who enjoy a little more,
my g, grandmother moved to norwich in 1899 from ipswich .
she is on the 1891 cencus Elizabeth Hughes. age 20 lodger at 6 rope walk
ipswich, st clements suffolk,,
she was born in 1871/2 in Belfast Ireland. she (married?) george crooks born 1869 but there in no record of there marriage, george was a drover from norfolk,
Does the records for the convent give parents names. arrival dates, leaving dates. ect.
1881 census there is a Elizabeth hughes from belfast ireland living at the convent , as it says boarder,, householder 99 age 10 born abt 1871 from ireland
its all just inquireries as knowing the true origins of elizabeth hughes my never really be known
best regrads all rumneywoodchipy
