Title: Bournemouth Burial 1889 which Cemetery?
Post by: Peter Cockerill on Saturday 28 April 12 11:54 BST (UK)
Dear Friends,

Could you advise which of the Bournemouth cemeteries the following burial might have taken place;

Admiral Arthur W. Jerningham, buried November 1889. He lived at Heatherbank. I think this is in the Richmond Hill area in Christchurch.

I am trying to locate his grave and get the inscription plus a picture.

Very many thanks.
Peter

Hi,

Richmond Hill is in the centre of Bournemouth and has been much altered since 1889; perhaps a phone call to Bournemouth Bereavement Services  ( 01202 526238 )   might yield some information.

Hi Peter,

This link gives some insight into Bournemouth Cemeteries in 1900 so might give you an idea - I doubt if it would have been the later one in Boscombe.
