Hi,
I wonder if anyone could tell me who owned the above residence on the date given. My GGgrandmother (Harriet Spooner) was listed at living at that address on her marriage cert, and I am trying to find out what her connection with the address is.

2 records for a Wheeler family from 1865 and 1869

and a further one from 1872 would indicate that the Wheeler family are still living at the address

Thanks for the prompt reply Adee. I think she might have been in service with this family at the time of her marriage.

cant tell who actually owned the building or land, but directory listings show the principle householders during the 1870s as members of a family with the surname Wheeler.
1868 George Wheeler, esq.
1877 W. I. Wheeler, M.D., F.R.C.S.I, L.K.Q.C.P.I., surgeon to City of Dublin Hospital

Harriet's marriage record is online but no occupation is stated which if she was in service you'd imagine would be stated

I've several marriages where I'm fairly certain the bride leaves off her occupation. e.g. one working in a hotel, the other as a maid/servant ..

Thanks for all the info, it looks like I'll have to dig deeper or "look outside the box" to get further info on why she was listed there.

to fill in the timeline a little - Thom's 1872 shows number 56 as :
