Hi Everyone,
I have my Brother-in laws WW2 army records and am having trouble making sense of some of the Army abbreviations.
On May 27 1942 he embarked to India on Draft RAZFOP
What does the RAZOP stand for? I think it is a Z and not a 2.
Also there is the abbreviation in March 1945 on his service form OZE ALF SEA, once again I think it is a Z and not a 2. I have found out that the ALFSEA is South East Asian Land Forces, that was the easy bit. The 'place of casualty' is marked down as 'Field' it appears to have been a hospital unit as he was discharged 9 weeks later.
He was with the 2nd Royal Berkshire Regiment, returning to England in 1946
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards,
Kiwi
