John Bell son of John Bell and Isabella Hannah and resided at 45 Gateside Avenue, Halfway, Cambuslang was born at that address on 8th June 1910.  He was still there at the time of his sister's wedding (My mother) on July 1934.  After that I can find no record of him at all.  Can anyone help?

Re John Bell; I never met my mother's brother, John.  I was born in 1945 at 45 Gateside Avenue and my brother Andrew was also born there in 1934.  He does not remember this Uncle at all.
The last known time he was around was at my Mother's wedding on 13th July 1934 where he was a wittness to the wedding.  He signs himself 'John Bell, 45 Gateside Avenue, Halfway, Cambuslang, Wittness'.  This is why I am sure it is my Mother's brother as the only other John in the family was my grandfather and he was deceased at the time of my Mother's wedding.  I have his birth certificate dated 8.6.1910 and then he is listed in the 1911 census on 2nd April 1911 as 'John Bell, son, 7 months'.
I had thought with the timing he may have gone into one of the services at the beginning of WW11 but so far can find no trace at all.
I do appreciate your help with this very much and look forward to hearing from you again.
Regards, Marion.

Can anyone help with the above subject.  I would appreciate it if there is anyone in the Cambuslang area who could look into this for me or recommend a Family Tree Association I could contact to do some research on this person as I am completely at a loss what to do next to find out what happened to this Uncle of mine.
Many thanks
Marion.

Your uncle who was born in 1910 died in 1911 of pneumonia age 7 months.  Parents John Bell/Isabella Hanna.  You can either send me a PM with your email and I’ll forward you the registration or you can download it from SP.

There are two entries for a John Bell born Cambuslang 1914 but you need to order these from SP to see the parents names.  It wasn’t uncommon to name the next male born after the one who died.
