This wedding group was taken in York, Ontario. I'd love to know the year it was taken. The clergyman was Rev. Kirkwood, but I want to find out the names of the bride and groom. If I knew the year I would troll through all the weddings in York for that year. ( I think it looks like the groom was also a clergyman.)

Hi Lois...if I could see the photo I might suggest 1920s...the bride is wearing the fashionable mob cap and I note a hemline of the appropriate length....but the photo is so small it's hard to make out any detail. Could we see a scan at 300 dpi please, as this one is awfully small.
Cheers,

Thanks for the reply. The picture (of the picture ) was sent to me by e-mail. I would enlarge it if I knew how.

Well, what is the file size of the emailed photo?

Hello Lois,
I took a look through a old book about the Eaton's catalogue and I would venture a guess of about 1928.
Those t-strap shoes were popular at that time and the dress lengths with the drop waist and the close fitting hat all popular
in the late twenties. The bride looks to be of that time note the headpiece. A larger picture would really help.
Hope this is of some help.

I'd go along with that...hemlines dropped again in 1929 so a bit before that.

Hello again Lois,
Take a look at this website www.fashion-era.com/weddings/1919_old_wedding-photos.htm
Click onto 1928 its like we are looking at the same or very simiular bridal headpiece.
Very interesting site.

My parents were married in 1929 and my mother's wedding dress looks quite like that, though her dress was a bit longer.

I have a wedding photo dated 1927 and the outfits are very similar to your photo.

Hi Lois,
Here is a version of your photograph that is larger, but still within the site guidelines.
