Need help to find the parents of Baikie SHEARER b: c1790 Stronsay who married James STEVENSON.
Thankyou,

I can't help you I'm afraid :( however if you
go to www.genuki.org.uk/big/sct/OKI/famhist.html
there is a list of people who will help people with specific
areas of Orkney. If you scroll down you will see the name of the
lady for Stronsay. You can contact her by email.
Hope this is of some help to you. Good Luck :)

Thankyou both very much Joyful and Skoosh for your helpful replies to my query.
Do you know of these two sites which especially may be of interest to you Skoosh having ancestors from Stronsay.

Another thought Tiff...do you have the children for Baikie and James?
Sometimes possibilities suggest themselves through the naming
of the children :)
Baikie, I'm almost certain, was a surname in Orkney. There is always the possibility
that Baikie was the mother's maiden name or the Grandmother's name. I'm just
brainstorming here ;D
