Title: Daly family of Boulicullane, County Kerry
Post by: Starbrite13613 on Friday 13 April 12 03:19 BST (UK)
My great-great grandmother was Bridget Daly (b. 28 May 1864). I've found church records in the Firies parish for her and her two brothers Patrick and Daniel. The address listed on those records was Boulicullane.

I've tried searching for telephone/address listings for Dalys in Boulicullane, but someone told me that it is too small an area to be listed that way. I was wondering if there was anyone who lived in or near there and might happen to know if there are any Dalys remaining.

I'd also like to know if anyone knows the closest cemetery to Boulicullane, or if there is an online presence to search for graves there. I know that Bridget's father Daniel Daly died there some time in May/June 1868, but I'd like to see if I can find an exact date or headstone transcription.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks again, Meara!  I hadn't found that one. I guess because I was spelling Boulacullane with an I. Seems like there are several spellings.

Now to figure out who Ellen is!  That's a new name for me.

I really appreciate your help!   :)

They were small holders in the Griffiths Valuation survey of 1853 in Boulacullane and thus unlikely to have  headstone. If I am near the area I can check.

Thanks VERY much!  I appreciate it!

I apologize for the late response. Too many end of year school things going on and not enough time to follow up on my genealogy stuff!  But I do appreciate your offer!   :)

There are no Dalys in Boulicullane in living memory. However there are lots of Dalys in killeentierna/Curragh and Firies.
