Looking for anybody who knows anything about Samuel Timms and Winifred C. Timms nee Dennett. Probably in the Oxfordshire area.

Hi Rick

I am going to move your post over the Beginners board here on RC so that people can try and help with your query  :)

Might help to add what you have so far (regarding census info, children, possible dates all help). For example, is this one of their sons https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/NBZ4-RQR ?

Hi

Unless you have more info about Samuel - birthyear/birthplace/parents etc you will need to buy a copy of the marriage cert as there are several Samuel Timms births around the late 1880's early 1890's

I won't post any more info at the moment re: Winifred as I have a feeling she may have been the one born 1882.  There is a Winifred C Timms death in Northants in 1956 - born 1882

Hi,
Thanks for replies. (It will take me a while to find my way around this site.  :-[ )

Winifred Dennett b. 1882, m.1914. Her father died, 1887, when she was very young and she went to live with her aunt and uncle, George & Elizabeth Wilmot. I think her mother died at Wimborne, Dorset, in 1907. (Not certain about this one.) George was one of my Gt. Grandfather's brothers.

Winifred married Samuel Timms in 1914 and George Wilmot was one of the witnesses at the wedding.

What I would like to find out is whether or not Winifred had children.

George and Elizabeth Wilmot didn't have any children of their own, as far as I can see. George was difficult to trace as he (or the enumerator) spelt Wilmot the four different ways on the census forms throughout his life.

Using the FreeBMD site,
