Hi Everyone,
I am trying to research Walter Clark who in the last quarter of 1926 he married Edith Marcroft in Middleton Parish Church. They had a child in 1929 called Ellis. I know about Edith Marcroft and the family after the marriage but need to work backwards down Walter's family line.
I would be grateful of any information.
Kind regards
Zappah

Sorry not much information at all!
Came from Middleton or Middleton Junction in Lancashire.
No birth or death dates.
Lived in Morton Street, and I know that he was a prolific scout master at St Leonard's otherwise known as Middleton Parish Church.
Thank you

Hi
I agree to really be sure you always need some documentation.
You really need to get the marriage certificate... and you will then be able to plot the family right through the census ;)
cheers cardiff :)

Hi
I am Walter Clarke's Granddaughter Allison Weston Voss (nee Clarke) and saw your post concerning Walter's Family. I live in New Zealand where my Father Ellis, mother Dorothy (nee Weston) and brothers Stephen and Mark emigrated in 1956. I believe I can help you.
You will notice the E on my Clarke . Mum always wrote to Grandad with an e in-place.
I have English relatives, who spell their name without an e ...Clark. Few of the Clark(e)s made family trees and when I got interested My Grandmother was old and had limited knowledge of Walter's family. I see Ronald Clark in in your replies I have just had contact with him in the past week for the first time.
My Grandmother definitely was a Marcroft tracking into the Kinder and related families.
I have a website on MyHeritage.com and would be happy to share information with you.
Never used this website before as I have joined just so we could help you.
Not sure how to do that privately???
