Title: Blaney family
Post by: Doink on Tuesday 10 April 12 19:54 BST (UK)
Can anyone help me find further information on a Michael Blaney, who was married to Sarah Green and/or Cecilia McGlashan in Donegal?  The place names I have found links to are "Carlin" (presumably Carlan) and "Rosmellin" (which may be a mis-transcribing of Rathmullan).

Michael had at least two sons, Denis (born c. 1839/1840) and Hugh (born c. 1840/1) and a daughter Mary (born c.1848/9).  The three children had all emigrated to Glasgow by about 1860.

Any information gratefully received.

Thanks

Could be Carlan Uppr/Lr in Clondavaddog Parish

Daniel McGlashan in Carlan on Griffiths Valuation - surname McGlashan often anglicised to Green

Could be Rossnakill in Clondavaddog - a few Blaneys there on Griffiths
