I am searching for any census records for an elusive James Bush. I have found records of his marriage to Elizabeth Manning at Bethnal Green St Thomas in 1889 (father: Stephen deceased, occupation listed: carman), aged 22. The birth of his son Albert Harry Bush in 1891 at Leyton, West Ham (a water works labourer) and the death of Elizabeth in 1898 also at Leyton, West Ham (general labourer). The only other mention I can find is on the marriage certificate of Albert in 1921 where he is listed as a fitter turner. In the 1901 censes Albert is living with Mary Bush (wife of Charles) so I am guessing this could be James's brother. James remarried and had another son who may have been named Charles.
Thank you, any info or guidance would be greatly appreciated

According to 1911 census, Charles was born 1870. I looked into this family and its not the right one, Stephen was still alive after 1901 and James & Charles marriages do not match. James & Elizabeth should have appeared in 1891 census, they were definitely living in Leyton in November of that year when Albert was born.

Where is Charles in 1911 and what does it say his birthplace is?
-
Charles is living in Islington and just lists his birthplace as London

You say James remarried, when did that take place?

Sorry, I don't know when or to whom. I am guessing that it would be after 1901 (mainly due to Alberts whereabouts on that census). I have very little info from that side of the family, most of which has proven unreliable. It was thought that he had married Elizabeths sister but this is not correct as there was only one sister who died in 1907. James apparently worked for the Leyton Gasworks so presume he stayed in the area.
