Post by: RobertWhaite on Tuesday 10 April 12 11:42 BST (UK)
Hi

I am looking for a Robert William Boyd born Ulster Ireland c1810 ,probably Antrim or Down.He had a daughter Elizabeth Jane  Boyd born 1833.She was brought out to South Australia in 1848 under what was called the "Earl Grey Scheme" .

Other Boyd's that were brought out  to South Australia about the same time were,Andrew,Annie and Edward. They were all in the same age group ,all born between 1832-1835

They may or may not have been siblings.

Any info at all would be helpful

TIA Rob

Rob,
Have you seen the site  http://www.irishfaminememorial.org/ It gives information on most of the girls who sailed under the Earl Gray Scheme. It suggests that Elizabeth Boyd came from Londonderry, but on the Diadem to Port Philip in 1849/50
