This looks like Percy G Appleton in 1891-RG12/4053/148/20.
He is showing as the son of a Ralph Appleton given as born in Raskelf Yorkshire in c 1849.Ralph is shown as an Estate Agent and Auctioneer.Though shown as married his wife isn't present.
In 1881 Ralph is shown as married to a Sarah Jane given as born in Louth Lincolnshire in c 1846-RG11/4900/36/24.

Yes indeed that is the man. I have a lot of the family UK data but have gaps in their Australian lives. Although I did stay with EAB in Stanthorpe in 1960.

Sorry,I misread you!I thought you were looking for the UK info.

The Brisbane Courier Wednesday 17 June 1914
This Death notice for Percy APPLETON tells nothing about him, his family or the circumstances of his death.
It does however mention the property THULIMBAH which is the same property still owned by ANNIE MUSCIO in the estate at her death (see above)
EDIT to correct ...
THULIMBAH is not the name of a property. It is the name of a town. It is where ANNIE seemed to live during both her marriages. Sorry to have misled you :(

What a wonderful and helpful response. Thankyou.
I attach two photos. The one with the horse and trap was captioned by my Grandmother as Toowoomba but I want to suspect that it was Thulimbah.
Please what is MI as in MI, Stanthorpe? Brian

Percy Appleton was my grandfather's brother. My Grandfather was Ernest and lived in Stockton. The Batemans ( one of them, Jack , I think ) married one of the Appletons and Sarah Nightscales was one of Ernest and Percy's relatives possibly grandmother I'll need to check. We have info on the Appleton "clan" going back to 17- something and based around Raskelf, Topcliffe and Dishforth ( all villages near Thirsk in North Yorkshire ) and some Appletons still live in that area so probably relations. Funnily enough I just got a suitcase of old photos of family ancestors from my father today ( he's 93 ) and was looking at a photo of Percy. If I can help at all please let me know. Best Wishes.

Thank you David for your information. We do infact know each other but you did not know the pseudonym that I use. As the above posts show I have been helped a lot with Percy Appleton's wife but have had no lead yet about Moia Isabel Kemp McCohon other that I have found a 1913 Electoral Register entry showing that she was a nurse in Stanthorpe.

Hello David,
I think I have a connection with the relatives you wrote about- my great grandfather was James Henry Appleton, Raskelf blacksmith and brother of Ralph Appleton of Stockton. I've traced the family back to Topcliffe and Dishforth, as you mention, and would be intrigued to know that there were any nineteenth century photographs. Could you please let me know if there are, and if there's any information or photographs I can provide that you'd like to add to your own findings.
