Looking for info on John William Brown born in Prince Albert Saskatchewan 25 June 1913.
He also lived in the Edmonton AB area where he met and married Sara Rosentreter. They had 4 children and later moved to British Columbia. If anyone has marriage info for them or anything else I would love to here from you. All I've found are his birth and death. I cannot find him as a child in the 1916 census of the prairie provinces either.

This was what was discussed on the previous thread mentioning John William Brown.

Alberta marriages aren't online unfortunately. Newspaper announcements may be your best bet at finding the information.

Have been checking online at archives no luck yet on marriage but may have found info on his father coming over asa a homechild.
Can someone in Saskatchewan please look up birth announcemnts for John William Brown born 25 June 1913 Prince Albert Saskatchewan, it may confirm the name of his father and mother. I believe his father is also John William Brown who may have arrived in canada in 1906

Your info is a bit missleading.... rootschatters found his birth date and father within the information for his
death. Not everyone could afford to put birth announcements in the paper back then, but, because you
have birth dates, his birth certificate would be available to you from the vital stats site for a fee...

Just a hint that not answering a thread can mean you're ignoring the answers to questions you have asked,
( see your other thread linked to above) also, please provide a link to older threads or better yet, keep from
making new ones with similar topics...

Going to add that the family appears to be convinced that the parent, John William Brown was a home-child. Not the one mentioned above, but the one who came in 1900. Not enough loose ends tied up for me to say it is certain. Perhaps they have extra info not available online.
This is the homechild information...will list censuses in next post

John William BROWN, born 25 July 1888 and aged 10 years 11 months on admission
BROWN J. W. age 10 ship: CAMBROMAN 1900-04-08 Halifax Party: Barnardo Homes
His destination was to be Russell, Manitoba??? but seems he lucked out in Ontario-
I found him in 1901 census with S. James Graham, wife M. Jane & son S. John
as "William" Graham probably to avoid confusion - their " adopted son" But says born July 8th 1888
son John was married 1903 - so may have been the only child left in the household after that.
He may have also been able to use the name John.

Marriage Malahide, April 15, 1862 Elgin County:
James GRAHAM, 22, Norwich, Kingston, Thomas & Ann
Martha Jane MOORE, 20, Bayham, Bayham, Samuel & Martha
witnesses: R.B. NELSON, E. F. NELSON
Perhaps the family might find more about Napier or any other nearby institutions/schools, etc. that might have old records / more information on the lad.
Oh, dear, nevermind...It seems that Napier is a ghost-town now!

Up to 1949. Handwritten indexes but if you know the rough year of marriage should be able to find them.
