Hi,

Beautiful wedding photograph that was a pleasure to work on.

Nice to take a break and give my eye's a rest from the more difficult restorations and enhancements.

Kind regards

Hi George
You were known as Georgie when I knew you. I lived next door to you in the prefabs no 29. You played with my brother Christopher. You emigrated to Australia with your mum and dad. Mrs Welsh your grandmother continued living there. People started moving out in the early 60s and the  prefabs started to be pulled down. Everyone was split up as new property was built.

Wana

Well this was a surprise to hear from someone from my childhood. :) I have often thought about Christopher over the years, where did you move to?

My Gran passed away in 1965 she was 82 and I still live here in Oz. I have been trying to put together
my family history for the last couple of years. My Mum and Dad are sadly both gone now…

Would you have any photos of the prefabs?

Thank you for taking the time to reply to this post

Cheers

George

David/tabsearch - what a lovely restore. You have really brought out the design of the lace beautifully - it makes her even more of a beautiful bride.

Hi Wana

Just thought I would let you know I have been in contact with two of the Mumford girls
Who lived at No 25 that was also a big surprise. Also a lady who lived over the back of No 35
It’s a great feeling talking to people I knew when I was 8 years old living in the prefab

If you would like to talk more but not on an open forum just make two more posts
And you can use the pm (personal message System)
Hoping to hear back from you… Here is a photo of your old house

Best regards

George
