Title: GV- 1850- cancelled books
Post by: kfryan on Tuesday 27 March 12 16:43 BST (UK)
1847 tenure books have the property  listed as- a"at will" lease. the first change in prop.occup. seems to be around 1858,

the next change about 1861, with the notation Reps. of ( name).  would this indicate a past change in the lease to

say - 21 years, liftime or something other than at will, abt 1870 the name is drawn thru, with new name above.(same family name).

any insight greatly apprec.  also how much time could/would pass before actual change was reflected in books?

I've seen them be a couple of years out, for example when you know someone had died but the Griffiths clerks only noted the change a year or two later.

There can certainly be a delay of a year or two for recording changes. 'Reps. of' usually refer to representatives of a deceased person.
