Title: Walter Fisher , Filey, photogragher
Post by: Eilleen on Monday 19 March 12 12:52 GMT (UK)
Hi  :)
I'm just going through some old pictures,

maybe some one know's the answer to this question,

on the back of this one , Walter Fisher, 5 Cliff tarrace, Filey,

I saw on line that in 1878 he was in the bankrupcy court in London,

but in 1891 he was at another adress in Filey,

my question , can anyone nail down the time my pic would have been taken.

Eilleen.

a bout to loose the plot, printer will not do as instructed  >:( :)

Hi Seoras  :)

Yes that is the same back as mine ,

the front has no frills attached , i.e just a photo of ladies head and shoulders the background nothing .

This one has been dated as 1880s so would think perhaps yours is from around the same time. Can you post the front on here.

 :)

I cannot at the moment my new all singing all dancing scanner\printer ,

has decided it's time for a sesta, and gone to sleep ::)

I think the picture is of Maria Bint , who's daughter Marie/ Mary ? Bint got married in Scarborough in 1881,  I think she went up the road and had her picture taken  :)  long shot I know, but the rest of the time the woman lived in Worchestershire  :)

Eilleen,

Walter Fisher's studio at 5 Cliff Terrace.  Part of a long terrace of buildings on a street, now known simply as Belle Vue Street, Filey.  The second photo is his purpose built studio, which followed.  I'm not yet able to pin down exact dates.
