Good morning root chatters,
Can someone please decipher my 3rd great grandmothers occupation?
This is from the 1871 England Census.
Thank you for your help!

Annuitant. She received an Annuity from somewhere.

Annuitant. So maybe receiving a small payment or pension. Not a great deal of money as she would then be more likely to be described as "of independant means."
This link may help. Scroll down to Annuitants

Agree that it's Annuitant but it's strange as she was the wife of an agricultural labourer in 1841, 1851 and 1861 and she was a 'Labourer W' in 1881 - a very small annuity :-\
