Amelia married to William Petts june 1861
- 1871 living at Marsh End

She died age 49 in 1890
I have tried all the usual avenues to find her birth and parents. Any clues much appreciated.

And the same family in 1861 (though the elder children from 1851 are not there, including Amelia):
1861: Olney Road, Village of Lavendon, Bucks
RG 9 / Piece: 876 / Folio: 37 / Page: 25
Head: Thomas HIVES 53, Carpenter, b Towcester, Northampton
Wife: Elizabeth 53, lace maker, b Easltow, Beds
Son: Ebenezer 18, unm, Carpenter, b Lavendon
Son: William 14, Shoemaker, b Lavendon
Son: Thomas 12, Carpenter, b Lavendon
and:
1861: Silver Street, Newport Pagnell, Bucks
RG 9 /Piece: 873 / Folio: 62 / Page: 27
Head: Thomas GAMBLE 64, Tailor, b Newport Pagnell, Bucks
Dau: Mary Ann 14, b Newport Pagnell, Bucks
Son: Robert J, 12, Scholar, b Newport Pagnell, Bucks
Mar: Wm S PETTS 25, Bulcher, b Newport Pagnell, Bucks
Mar: Amelia PETTS 21, Shoe Closer, b Lavendon, Bucks
Note: The enumerator has erred in putting the Petts' marital status in the relationship column, and nothing in the marital status column. I think he has also mixed up the letters in William's occupation - he appears to have 'crossed the 'h' and I think he intended to write 'Butcher' (was he a butcher in the later census?)
Cheers

Thanks Ambly.
Yes William is a butcher in 1871, 81 and 91.
I am so pleased to have been helped with that bit of the puzzle. :D
