Title: St James, Castle Eden, DUR Monumental inscriptions?
Post by: Gen List Lass on Monday 16 May 05 02:39 BST (UK)
Does anyone have access to the monumental inscriptions of St James, Castle Eden, DUR ?

I am looking for members of the BURDON family who were probably buried inside the church as they were a wealthy local family.

Hi, I came from Castle Eden and I remeber the Burdon graves being to the rear  and side of the churchyard. I'll see what else I can find out. Ragards, Barney

Hi Barney,

Would you know or be able to find information about the EMBLETON family?  Are there any graves for this surname in the churchyard?  Particularly, Elizabeth buried 1903, Andrew (husband c1881) and family.  Also the surnames: COWPERTHWAITE and CAPLIN?

Regards
Louise
