I wonder can any one help with my research into the Phillips/Lyness family of Legacorry parish of Seagoe.
Father Frank Phillips, mother Jane McFadden, Children Archibald, Rose, ( Rose married Thomas Lyness from Drumgor ) Elizabeth , Jane and Francias.
All born 1823-1833.
Frank died 1873 and is buried in the Dougher Graveyard Lurgan.
Any information would be appreciated.
Douglas.

Douglas,
As an aside, during your research I wonder if you have come across a Thomas Lyness who married Annie Lyness in Seagoe Church of Ireland in 1855. They had several children one of whom was Wright Lyness who married Marcella Brown in 1890 in Shankill Church of Ireland, Lurgan.

Hello,
yes I have come across Wright Lyness's from Drumgor. Wright and Marcella immigrated to America and had two children , Thomas and Deborah, ( funny this is my grandparents names)
Wright was a great military man like so many other men from Drumgor.
If you have any other Lyness info I would love to hear from you.
I have a photo of Wright Lyness.

Marcella Brown was my maternal grandfather's sister. I also have a photograph of Wright and Marcella as a young couple and a couple of others of Marcella and her two adult children taken about 1935. I will send you a personal message with my e-mail address.
