I wonder if some kind person would clean up this picture?
We believe it was taken in about 1921 just before the family emigrated to Australia.
-
I bet this lot were quite a handful on the voyage - I believe the 10th child was born on the ship! :o
-
Hi.
Please find attached your photograph with minor clean up and some minute enhancements.
Kind regards

Hi Igor........A try from me.
Carolyn :)

That's lovely, George and Carolyn, thank you!
I am posting on behalf of Goldcrest, a new member, who I think is my fourth cousin. The matriarch of the family above is her grandmother. Goldcrest is just discovering how great Rootschat is , and I know she'll be thrilled! ;D

Hi Igor....Sorry for the late response...I started this one and forgot about it...so finished it today.

Smashing! Thank you, Carol!

Oh, Moroc, that's great! What a difference all this has made, brought them all to life! ;D ;D

A big, big thank you to all the restorers, amazing stuff - I have downloaded them all, all fantastic interpretations which give a new view to a very old photograph. Thank you to IgorStrav for posting this and introducing me to this part of Rootschat. Cannot believe how wonderful you all are, thank you ;D ;D ;D

You will have another one coming, goldcrest, but I'm doing other things at the minute, one of them being, fighting my way back from a crashed Vista. No problem, just haven't got all the programs in yet.
Thought it would be nice to see whether the photo program is still working. Love this photo. First one that I have done for ages.

That's fabulous, Irene, the faces are so much clearer and the personalities jump out.
:D :D :D :D
And Paula, look forward to seeing your interpretation when you've resurrected Vista, that is
;) ;)
-
Thank you Irene, fantastic job and look forward to yours Paula. ;D ;D ;D
It is a beautiful family photo.
I also have a real challenge which I will post soon ;)
-
Look forward to the challenge ...
This one is coming on slowly, not much time these days.
It is a lovely photo, though.
-
At last at last ...
Now, wasn't there something about a difficult one .....
-
Wow, Paula, that's great! :D
Well worth waiting for. Thank you so much for your time and trouble! ;D ;D ;D
Not sure where Goldcoast's "real challenge" one has gone......
-
Ta Igor.
I've found the other one :o ::) >:(
It's brilliant. Can't do much to it, but will have a heck of a lot of fun trying :D
-
I've only just seen it myself, Paula - it's got a donkey in it, perhaps we should alert Rabbit! ;)
-
Thank you so much PaulaToo
It is just fabulous, like they are just in the other room ;D ;D
The difficult one is, well, very difficult but if it can be enhanced in any way I would be eternally grateful :)
There are still nine other photos from the same package which I will post with a tie in topic over time. All in much better condition than the difficult one.
Thanks again

My pleasure, goldcoast.
Pushing coloured pixels around is making a welcome change from pushing words around.
Have you got a feller with a big bushy beard in any of the other photos ... the difficult bloke looks as though he has a massive beard ... but then again that could be yuk on the photo. He also looks as though he's got three legs ... Now I know that's wrong, just which one is the wrong one?
Great fun.
