Hi all,
Looking for more information on the family of Edward Fensome/Fensom, born c1835 in Pepperstock, Herts. I have his parents down as Thomas Fensome, born Pepperstock 1803 and Maria née Butterfield born Berkhamstead 1810. I'm a bit sketchy on this as I don't have Edward on any census prior to his marriage in 1859. I've not been able to find a baptism for him. I wonder if anyone could help confirm or deny whether they are his parents. I'm sure I came to this conclusion somehow but I can't find a record of it in my notes.
Incidentally, I can't seem to find a baptism entry for Thomas Fensome born 1803 either so I seem to have hit a bit of a dead end.
Thanks very much

I have a link to you. I am descended from Edward's sister Sarah who had twin boys out of wedlock!! How scandalous. I have the children of Thomas FENSOM and Maria BUTTERFIELD as George 1829-1829, Elizabeth 1830-1830, Mary 1832-1892, Sarah 1833-1894 and Edward 1835-1899.

Alas not related but in the good old days, we had a home help, who came sometimes with her son. I think that she was 'Dolly' Fensome, but that was most probably a nickname. He was a strange little chap who was said to like kippers with custard! Can't recall his name: sorry.
Good hunting
