trying to find a match  john lochiel married Ann hay Aberdeen 1811,can anybody help to confirm that they are related to lochel s from Alford or tough aberdeenshire ? i can find a  marriage for john lochel and Ann Clark in 1784 Alford  and can find a mention on lds for john leochel  1753.  an Alexander leochel married Elizabeth riach 1873 in Alford.

any help would be appreciated

Have you found a death certificate for John? It would name his parents. Also, you could look at the christening records of John & Ann's offspring to see if any relatives were witnesses.
