I know families tend to marry their cousins etc etc, but I am starting to believe that there must be a gene that some families find attracts them to their partners and hence they keep remarrying into the same genealogical gene pool.
so
I have Samuel Aiston Kennedy married to Margaret Stevenson ,(married 1846 Donegore) I have all information on their family before their marriage but nothing after their marriage.......
working backwards on that one
Malcom Kennedy married to Mary Weatherup
...I know nothing on them other than information from a will.and are related to Halls and McDowell Lyle etc etc
working sideways and up and down on this one.
Hugh Grange married to Mary McMillen
from Ballyclare married 1880's
I have all their information backwards ,forward etc etc
but
I believe that this family line are related to Stevenson and need anyone who might have information to link them please.
I am hoping I can find someone looking for this gene pool.
Thank you
Steve

I am fairly sure I am related to Margaret Stevenson. Her brother Samuel is my great grandfather who came to Australia in 1864. Was married to Eliza Agnew. His father was Hans or Hanse Stevenson. Are we talking about the same Stevensons. I got my original info from the Parkgate church and their baptismal records. Have not been able to go back past Hans Snr yet.

Hello James
Yes your information is correct....I wonder did Margaret and Samuel Kennedy go to Austrailia as well.....do you know of other family that might have travelled with them ?
Hans sold his land etc in 1847 to his brother Thomas....and I can not find a death for him or will so assumed he went abroad......do you know where he and the rest of the family went to ?

The only sibling I know emigrated besides my gr-grandfather was Hans junior who went to Canada. I not sure but John may have gone to Canada also.
When u say Hans sold his land to his brother Thomas , do you mean Hans senior or the son Hans born 1826?

Hans Sr sold his land to his brother Thomas about 1857,,,,,do you know what year Hans Sr children all left.
The Stevenson also had property and land at Tildarg that was left eventually to Thomas (Hans Sr brother). I wonder if Hans moved to this farm to sort of downsize if his boys were leaving, so he could give them money to take with them.
So if that "will" is his by the time Hans dies he is living roughly in that area so the " will "could be his. His brothers and sister die after that date and Hans and his family are not mentioned.
Hans Sr parents were James Stevenson/Stephenson and Margaret
Grandparents James Stevenson and Anne
Both his father and grandfather helped build schools in Tildarg, the Grange and Palantine areas from the early 1800's.
