Hello
Does anyone out there have a Drinkwater from Pembroke Dock in their family history. Also any Yerwards.
If you do or you know of any please get in touch.
-
I see a Drinkwater mentioned in the book Pembroke People. If you type in on Google Drinkwater Pembroke Dock it should come up first on the list.
-
Thanks for the info. This gives me something to research

Pembroke People is a very interesting book I don't know if it is possible to borrow it from your library we have a copy in ours (but then i live in Pembroke Dock!) It gives lots of information on people living in the area and their occupations etc.

Hope this helps.

Hi,
My dad is the last Yerward from pembroke dock we know of, we've only been able to research back to the 1840's. I can try and email you what I have if you are interested.

Hi
Many thanks for the reply. Yes I would love any info you have on the Yerward family. My grandfather, born in Pembroke in 1903 was John Yerward Simon. The Yerward was after one of his maternal grandmother's Ellen, daughter of Levi Yerward.
My email address is glorialee@hotmail.co.uk. I will look out all the info I have on the Yerwards, which isn't much I'm afraid but I will send you what I have.
Best regards
Gloria

Robert Drinkwater was the illegitimate son of Grace Morgan, the widow of George Morgan, mariner of Pembroke. He was baptised on 13th December 1799. You will find much information on the Drinkwaters and also on the Yerwards in Richard Rose's 'Pembroke People', Otterquill Books, 2000. See www.otterquillbooks.com
I hope this helps,
