Title: Harriet Sawyer and Israel Beasley
Post by: sandra c on Thursday 23 February 12 13:53 GMT (UK)
Hi I can not find Harriet Sawyer and Israel Beasley after they married

Harriet Sawyer is the daughter of Charles Sawyer and Sarah Randall Harriet was born in 1854 at East Hagbourne Berkshire.

Harriet Sawyer married Israel Beasley on the 25/10/1873 at st Andrew East Hagbourne, after they are married i can not find them

I have found Israel Beasley on the 1871 census living at
        Cross Street Long Wittenham with

        Richard Beasley born 1807 Berkshire
       Elizabeth Beasley born 1814 Berkshire

I am not sure but i think Elizabeth was Elizabeth Webb before she married Richard Beasley

     Any information will help
     Thank you Sandy

Hi Cath and Kgarrad

Thank you for your help and time
I have been digging to find Harriet children and i think that Ellen Elizabeth
may have married a Raymond Joseph Ryman born about 1876 at Didcot
I think this because the only marriage that i can find for a Ellen Elizabeth Keep is in 1900 at Marylebone London. On the parish records for Hagbourne are the following children

   Leila Maud  Ryman 1904
   Geofry Ryman 1906
   Raymond Ryman 1907
   Claude Ryman 1909

on the 1911 census Ellen Elizabeth give her birth as 1879 but at didcot not hagbourne

Please can i asks what you think

  Thank you Sandy

Sandra C

It looks a good bet as both Ellen and Raymond give their birthplace as North Hagbourne in the 1901 census.

A little bit more confirmation:

Marriage:
3 Oct 1900 Emmanuel Church, Emmanuel, Maids? Hill, London - the record precis states the Parish as Langham in the borough of Westminster.

Raymond Francis RYMAN - 25 Bachelor, Fruiterer, of East Hagbourne, Berks - father George to
Ellen Elizabeth KEEP - 21 Spinster, 56 North Street - father Frederick (Decd)
Witnesses: William Smith and Hilda Alice Ryman

Hi Harry

       Thank you for the information

On the `1881 census Harriet daughter is down at Kate Keep but  on the parish records she is Sarah Kate Keep daughter of Frederick and Harriet Keep, as i have not yet been able to find a marriage for do think it is under Kate Keep not Sarah There is not record of a marriage for Sarah or a Kate keep on the parish records for st Andrews at Hagbourne

   Thank you Sandy
Title: David Southon Beasley killed 1914
Post by: Mike Churcher on Wednesday 21 March 12 13:05 GMT (UK)
Hi, I saw the name Beasley and my message. A friend and I have been researching the names on the Wokingham War Memorial and have struggled with the history of David Southon Beasley. His parent Thomas and Sarah Beasley were married in St Pancras. I would be very grateful if you could have a look at our entry and see if there is anything you can add or change: http://www.wokinghamremembers.com/?page_id=1105
Many thanks
