I am researching the sellers/sellars family in the East yorkshire area
My GGranfather was Richard George Sellers born in Foxholes in around 1857.
I cannot find his birth certificate although I believe he was christened at West Heslerton 13/11/1864. He married Mary Ann Bulmer at the registry office Scarborough 1877.
Any help with Richard G Sellers and his earlier family would be greatly appreciated.

many thanks for your replies KGarrard and JJen2
I had already found the family on 1861 census I just would have liked to have found a birth certificate for George Richard Sellers to confirm that I am on the right track . I know his father was called John from his marriage certificate .
I will look into the George Seller b 1858 Driffield District - Foxholes was in this district.
Having already bought 3 incorrect birth certificates I was hoping someone had George Richard and his father John already in their family tree - but i suppose that would spoil all the fun.

You didn't mention that you already had the 1861 census and marriage certificate?
It's usually helpful to mention these things.
