On May 29, 1882 at All Saints, Wakefield Sarah Bleasby age 32 married John Moxon age 37 a widower and a labourer. Fathers were Richard Bleasby, a painter and William Moxon, a labourer.
On October 13, 1900 at All Saints, Wakefield Sarah Bleasby age 50 married John Moxon age 55 a widower and a labourer. Fathers were Richard Bleasby, a painter and William Moxon, a labourer.
If anyone has any ideas as to why two marriages I would love to hear them.

John may have thought he was a widower at the time of the first marriage,but his 1st wife died later, the second marriage was to make sure they were married

Have you traced John back from the 1881 census to establish who he was first married to?
1891 census shows children born before 1882 but John & Sarah were living together in 1881
1871 shows first wife Caroline b 1845 Bradford

The 1881 census shows Sarah Bleasby, unmarried, as houskeeper for John Moxon. There are also three Bleasby's listed as either son or daughter which means they are John's children or he adopted them.
There is a death listed for a Caroline Moxon age 54 in Pontefract September Quarter 1900. This could be John's first wife since the second marriage, to make it legal, is at the same time. I could not find a census listing for Caroline in either the 1881 or 1891 census.
