Hi,
Would someone be so kind as to check if a WW1 Service Record exists for a William Sharpley service numbers 16117 and 2306175 please?

Cant see one on Ancestry....Theres a Medal Index Card.
Its possible its still with MOD he joined Royal Corps Of Signals and was a Sgt in that Corps....The 230.....Number suggests post war service
Looks like he was Mentioned In Dispatches as theres mention of Emblems (Oak Leaf) been issued in 20s and also entitled to 1914 Star with Clasp and British War and Victory Medals

Did he serve on after 1922 if so I would say its still with MOD so you would have to send for it and it costs £30
He was definately serving post war 1920 as Royal Signals werent formed until then
